Josh Lipton is a Co-Founder at Invictus Property Advisors. At Invictus, Josh focuses on the marketing and sale of commercial real estate assets throughout New York City, primarily in Manhattan and Brooklyn. His clients include small and large owner-operators, high net worth individuals, institutional funds and non-profits. Josh is an active member of the New York City real estate industry and, to date, has sold more than two hundred (200) properties in New York City for an aggregate value in excess of $1.5 billion.
Previously, Josh was a Senior Director in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman and Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services), where he focused on investment sales in Upper Manhattan. Prior to beginning a career in commercial real estate, Josh was a Senior Attorney at the law firm Latham & Watkins LLP. His legal practice focused on capital markets transactions representing both issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary offerings.
Additionally, he represented publicly traded companies in a wide range of issues, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Josh also worked at a commercial property management company in Massachusetts and, in Moscow, Russia as a sales manager for an international transportation company working closely with top executives and foreign diplomats.
Josh graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Boston College Law School and Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy where he earned a JD and Master’s Degree, respectively. He received his undergraduate B.A. degree from Bucknell University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Division I Wrestling Team.
